Review: No Country for Old Men

I had heard a lot of good things about this movie. I mean, it's the Coen brothers. Raising Arizona, Miller's Crossing, Fargo, Hudsucker Proxy, The Big Fucking Lebowski. They've made a lot of really great films. Uh, yeah, not this one. 'Unsatisfying' is the first adjective that springs to mind, with 'Disjointed' to place and 'Preachy' edging out 'Dissapointing' by a nose to show. I was enjoying it for the most part up until the third act, but I left the theater shaking my head and I put it solidly on the direction. The acting was great and the story was compelling enough for the first two acts, but I expect more from the Coen brothers.

Two Stars.
